Millenarianism

They are cults based on Christian millenialism.

They believe in radical change to the society after a drastic change.
They believe that the rulers of the world are unjust, and must be overthrown.

  • Aum Shinrikyo cult
    • It was based on Indian and Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity
    • It operated on the cover of freedom of religion
    • They called the US the Beast in the Bible, made lots of crazy conspiracies
    • They killed people using a binary chemical weapon in Tokyo in 1995
    • In 1997, US designated it as a terrorist group, and it was removed in 2022
    • Founder and gang were executed in 2018
  • Jonestown Massacre (Forced suicide)
    • The cult was based on Christianity
    • But also socialism as a means for enlightenment
